Brownlee’s Store was
established by M. F. Brownlee, Sr., in 1933 on the northwest corner of Main
& Second Streets. This building burned in the spring of 1945. Another store was then built north of this
location in the fall of the same year. M. F. Brownlee, Jr. owned the property in 1956.

The warehouse was located on the east side of Main Street,
across from the store. It was razed in 2009.
