Wilkins Cemetery: Ekron/Half Moon Area: Sometime in the mid-90s, Mom (Irene Magers Duncan) and I fought our way through the briars and brambles on a mission to record as many tombstones as possible in this cemetery. I'm sure we did not find all the marked graves. It was also apparent that many graves had never been marked.

Simmons Plantation Cemetery: The Simmons Plantation Cemetery is also an African American cemetery. A stone marker reads: 1923 "This burial ground decicated by B. S. Simmons to the Loyal Members of the Negro race who have served him and this plantation so devotedly and so faithfully through the years." Very few tombstones are present but many persons buried there. A fence encloses the area. A church once sat close to the cemetery.
